Terms & Conditions

Ear Muse Limited

These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of services by Ear Muse Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”). By booking an appointment, using our website, or receiving services from us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.​

Scope of Services

Ear Muse Limited provides private ear health and ear cleaning services, including (but not limited to):

  • Ear health assessments

  • Microsuction

  • Irrigation 

  • Basic ear health checks

All services are delivered within the practitioner’s training, competence, and scope of practice, in line with current clinical guidance.

Clinical Disclaimer & Medical Care

Our services do not replace GP, ENT, or emergency medical care.

Where concerns fall outside our scope of practice, or where treatment is deemed clinically inappropriate, unsafe, or contraindicated, we will:

  • Decline to proceed with treatment, and

  • Provide appropriate advice and referral recommendations (e.g. GP, ENT, urgent care)

We do not diagnose medical conditions or prescribe medication.​​

Practitioner Status

All services are delivered by a qualified clinician with relevant training and experience in ear care.
Professional titles are used accurately and do not imply registration beyond that which is held at the time of service.

Appointments, Deposits & Payment

  • A minimum consultation fee of £20 is required at the time of booking. This acts as a deposit and is deducted from the total treatment cost.

  • If treatment is not suitable following assessment, no further charges will apply beyond the consultation fee.

  • The remaining balance is payable at the end of your appointment.

  • Payment methods accepted: card and cash.

Pre-Treatment Requirements

By paying your deposit, you agree to:

  • Use olive oil ear drops for 3–5 days prior to your appointment, unless advised otherwise

  • Provide accurate medical information

  • Return your completed consent form before the appointment

Appointments are only confirmed once both deposit and consent form are received.

Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

  • Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment will result in the deposit being forfeited

  • No-shows will be charged the full treatment cost

  • Cancellations made more than 48 hours in advance may be rescheduled, with the deposit carried forward​

Travel & Additional Charges

Appointments outside 15 miles of the local business area (B26) may incur additional mileage charges.
Any additional charges will be confirmed prior to the appointment.

Emergency Appointments

Emergency appointments may be offered subject to availability and clinical appropriateness.

​

Clinical Discretion

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue treatment where it is:

  • Clinically inappropriate

  • Unsafe

  • Contraindicated

  • Not in the client’s best interests

In such cases, you will be supported with appropriate advice and onward referral recommendations.

Safeguarding Statement

Ear Muse Limited is committed to safeguarding adults at risk.
All practitioners hold enhanced DBS clearance and follow local safeguarding procedures.

Any safeguarding concerns will be escalated in line with statutory safeguarding guidance and relevant local authority protocols.

CQC Clarification

Ear Muse Limited provides non-regulated ear care services.
We are not required to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) for the services offered at this time.

Data Protection & Privacy

We process personal and medical data in accordance with:

  • UK GDPR

  • Data Protection Act 2018

Our Privacy Policy forms part of these Terms & Conditions.

Liability

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation

  • Any liability that cannot be excluded under law

Otherwise, our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided.

Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
